Deposits & changes

What your deposit does, and what happens if plans change.

The deposit confirms your appointment and is what the shop is trading their time for. Each shop sets its own terms on changes, so ask before you pay rather than after.

01

What the deposit is

It is paid online when you accept a quote, and it holds the work. The balance is settled with the shop in person. The two amounts are always shown separately on your quote before you pay anything.

02

Ask about rescheduling first

Most artists will move an appointment given reasonable notice, and most will not hold a deposit for someone who does not turn up. Those terms are the shop's, not ours — ask them in the thread and you will have the answer in writing.

03

Keep your reference

Every enquiry has a reference. Quote it whenever you contact the shop, or us, about a booking.

04

If something goes wrong

Message the shop in the thread first — almost everything is a misunderstanding about size or timing and is solved there. If you cannot reach them, contact us with your reference.
